PAT O’DAY


Pat O'Day, was an air personality and concert promoter in the Pacific Northwest, best known as the afternoon drive personality at Seattle's KJR AM 950 in the 1960’s. O’Day would eventually become program director and general manager, spending 15 years with the radio station.

O'Day became a station owner, owning KYYX – FM 96.5 Radio in Seattle in the mid-1970s and early 1980s. Starting in 1967, O'Day served as race announcer and commentator during Seattle’s popular Seafair event for various radio and TV stations. O’Day was instrumental in promoting local rock groups.
