MATT SIEGEL


Matt Siegel’s long-running relationship with Boston radio audiences flourished in 1977 and lasted 45 years until his retirement in 2022. For more than four decades, Matt Siegel was best known as Matty in the Morningto New England area listeners in large numbers, heard on Kiss 108, WXKS-FM. His Boston area relationships started four years earlier on legendary WBCN-FM, a station he joined in 1977, after spending five years in Tucson, Arizona working at the highly rated KWFM-FM. 

His 40+ years in Boston Morning Drive Radio not only earned him numerous #1 ratings performances and tremendous audience loyalty, but also many industry awards. Matt received two NAB Marconi Awards for Personality of the Year, first in 2001 and again in 2009. He was inducted into the Massachusetts Broadcaster’s Hall of Fame in 2012, in recognition of his audience impact. Matt celebrated 40 years on the air at Kiss 108 in January of 2021 with celebrities and dignitaries marking the occasion, including Governor Charlie Baker, actor Donnie Wahlberg, Boston Red Sox MVP David Ortiz and more. 

In May of 2022, Matty retired from Kiss 108.

In 2024, Matt Siegel, known to listeners forever as Matty in the Morning, was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame.
