For more than 30 years, Marty Brennaman has been known as "The Voice of the Cincinnati Reds."  

Brennaman began his broadcasting career in 1964 at North Carolina television station WGHP-TV/High Point. Brennaman's sports career began in 1969 at WSTP/Salisbury, broadcasting Rowan County American Legion baseball. The next year he began doing basketball play-by-play for the Virginia Squires. Over the next four years, Brennaman won four Virginia Sportscaster of the Year awards, while dividing his time between covering baseball games for the New York Mets' Norfolk AAA affiliate and college football games for Virginia Tech and William & Mary.  

In 1974, WLW/Cincinnati selected Brennaman from more than 200 applicants to take over play-by-play duties for the Cincinnati Reds. Alongside veteran broadcasting partner Joe Nuxhall, Brennaman soon became famous for announcing victories with his signature proclamation "And this one belongs to the Reds!" Brennaman later went on to cover the World Series for NBC Radio and the NCAA Basketball Tournament.  

Over the course of his career with the Reds, Brennaman has been named Ohio Sportscaster of the Year 12 times. In 2000, the sportscaster received the Ford C. Frick Award from the Baseball Hall of Fame.  

Marty Brennaman was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2005.
