ELLIOT SEGAL
2021 marks Elliot Segal’s 21st year as host of “Elliot in the Morning” on Washington D.C.’s alternative rock radio Station, DC101, WWDC-FM.
Segal’s career began with morning host John Lander at KKBQ-FM in Houston in the 1980s, where he worked up to the role of morning show producer. Scott Shannon tapped him as morning show producer at Pirate Radio in Los Angeles in the mid-1980s. Segal later went on to work for Lander again in Philadelphia, and then again with Shannon at WPLJ-FM and again with Lander at Z100, WHTZ-FM in New York City.
In 1996, Z100 paired Elliott Segal with Elvis Duran to host “Elvis, Elliot and the Z Morning Zoo” in New York City. It was the first time Elliott Segal regularly hosted a program and was met with great success. Segal was later tapped to lead Washington, D.C.’s DC101 as the host of “Elliot in The Morning” in 1999.
For more than 20 years, Segal has hosted the five-hour talk show and provided a place on-air to connect listeners to musicians, newsmakers, athletes, actors and more.
