CROOK & CHASE

Lorianne Crook and Charlie Chase are Country music radio personalities that have been the go-to source for Country music news for decades. Their Country music countdown and interview program, The Crook and Chase Countdown, captures their warmth, regard and appreciation for the artists and groups they feature on-air each week. Both hosts, Lorianne and Charlie, are regarded as top interviewers in their field, and have earned the respect of each Country music artist they’ve interacted with.

They first met in 1983, when Lorianne and Charlie worked together hosting the first nationally syndicated television show dedicated to Country music, This Week in Country Music, and have continued working together for over four decades. Their well-distributed Country music countdown radio program, The Crook and Chase Countdown, was created in 1989.

Prior to working together, Charlie Chase was an on-air personality on radio stations throughout Tennessee. Lorianne Crook’s early broadcast work was on television. They were paired together by producer Jim Owens, who worked with the pair for nearly 40 years. Jim Owens and Lorianne Crook were married until Jim’s passing in 2022.

Lorianne and Charlie have received induction into the Country Radio Hall of Fame and are the recipient of the Bob Kingsley Living Legend Award.

In 2024, Lorianne Crook and Charlie Chase were inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame.
