CHARLES WARFIELD
Charles M. Warfield, Jr. is a 41-year veteran of the broadcast and music industry.
In his broadcasting career, Charles managed some of America’s most successful and recognized radio stations. For 13 years he was President & COO of ICBC Broadcast Holdings, Inc., which owned top rated radio stations in New York, San Francisco, Columbia, SC and Jackson, MS.
Earlier in his career he spent 12 years at Inner City Broadcasting Corporation as Vice President and GeneralManager of WBLS-FM and WLIB-AM. He also served as Vice President / General Manager of WRKS-FM, NewYork, which during his tenure was “the most listened to station in America”.
He served as Joint Board Chair of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Board of Directors (2013-2015) and served as Past-Chair of the Radio Executive Committee of the NAB. Charles is also a member of the NAB Investment Committee. The NAB honored him with the 2010 National Radio Award. In 2009 he was recognized by Radio Ink magazine as Radio Executive of the Year. Annually, he was honored as one of the 40 Most Powerful People in Radio.
He and his wife, Mary reside in Newtown Square, Pa. He is an active member of their church. He and Mary enjoy traveling and spending time with their 3 children and 6 grandchildren.
In 2023, Charles Warfield was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame.
