CAROL MILLER
New York evening personality Carol Miller graced the airwaves in New York City for five decades continuously in the rock music format. Miller joined WMMR-FM Philadelphia while still a student at the University of Pennsylvania. Miller went to law school during the day while rocking at night earning her law degree at Hofstra University.
Carol Miller first achieved success and fame in New York City spending eight years at WPLJ FM, the most listened to FM station in America at the time. Miller then hosted nights at WNEW-FM and WXRK-FM before joining WAXQ -FM (Q104.3) in 2004 where she continued hosting her top-ranked evening program for many years including the nationally syndicated Carol Miller’s Get the Led Out.
Miller has hosted numerous national rock music radio programs and also has been heard regularly on SiriusXM. Her memoir, Up All Night, was published by Ecco/ Harper-Collins in 2012.
For many years of Carol’s on-air career, she contended with a cancer diagnosis and treatments and multiple surgeries, never allowing it to interfere with her career and listener relationships.
Carol’s communications with her listeners reflect her life-long friendships with so many generations, and her many new friendships as well.
In 2022, Carol Miller was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame.
