HOWIE CARR


An outspoken, conservative commentator, Howie Carr has been on the air in New England for two decades. He has asked the tough questions during interviews with politicians, authors, news makers and celebrities alike.

Carr was first heard on WHDH/Boston before moving The Howie Carr Show to WRKO/Boston. The program is also syndicated across New England on 20 stations in 12 states.

When not behind the microphone, Carr is an award-winning journalist for the Boston Herald known for his tenacious pursuit of the story and confrontational style.

Carr has spent his career writing and reporting and received the National Magazine Award for essays and criticism in 1985. He has also spent time on camera with stints as an Emmy-nominated political reporter for Boston area television stations WGBH, WLVI, and WNEV.

Howie Carr was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 2008.
